Biking in Nationalpark

Even if you are now rubbing your eyes in disbelief - cycling and mountain biking are available and permitted in the Hohe Tauern National Park. The responsibles trust in the visitors, their sense of connection to the natural surroundings and their positive attitude to the National Park. The cycle trail from Virgental to Matrei and the famous Umbal Falls is a gem among Austria’s cycle paths. Pure leisure riders, who aren’t quite as fit, are just as well catered for. They ride on the route out of the valley of the wild rushing glacial stream, along the Isel. It is also possible to rent a e-bike to have more pleasure climbing up the hills.
